AF488 Affirm High-Back Task Chair, Full Multi-Function
The Office Master AF488 is the fully adjustable version of the Affirm cushioned-back chair. Same upholstered high back and waterfall seat as the AF408, but running OM's Full Multi-Function (-8b) mechanism, seat and back move independently, so the sitter can dial in a genuinely custom position rather than accepting a fixed ratio.
The feature that earns its keep is infinite forward tilt. Tipping the seat slightly forward opens the hip angle and lets the pelvis stay upright instead of rolling back, which is what keeps the lower back supported during close, leaning work. It is the specification to reach for with lab benches, drafting, detailed inspection work, or anyone who reports low back ache by mid-afternoon.
