The Chief Kontour K1C220 is the two-monitor version of Kontour's dynamic height-adjustable column mount: two independently adjustable arms sharing one desk mount. It suits dual-screen desk work where both displays need to be positioned properly rather than propped side by side on their factory stands, and it frees the worksurface those stands were occupying.
What makes it easy to specify is the gas-spring range. Each arm carries a dynamic weight capacity of 5 to 25 lbs, wide enough to take a mismatched pair, a large primary display and a smaller secondary one, on the same hardware. Because the monitor interface is independent of the column, a dual station can be expanded to triple or quad later without pulling out or re-drilling the installation already on the desk.
This one is sold in a single configuration, there is nothing to choose above, and the dual arm hardware and column base are included as shipped.
Desk mounting. The column base fits either a grommet or a clamp installation, so it works on a worksurface with an existing grommet hole and on one without. A two-screen mount puts more load and more leverage on that single point than a single arm does, so confirm the thickness of the worksurface and the position of any modesty panel or cable tray before you order.
Growing later. Because the monitor interface and the column are separate parts, going from two screens to three or four means adding arm hardware rather than replacing the mount.
If you need this arm in a different finish, a reduced-height column, or a TAA-compliant version, Chief builds those in the Kontour K1C family, ask us and we will quote the right part number.
